Playing with giant eel at ambon

Wae salaka pool is one valuable place to visit at Waai Village, Ambon city, located about 30 km from the city centre of Ambon. The pool is a natural one where big green trees grow along the river bank. Well, I was lucky having the chance being at this resort.

Not like others pool, river in specific, this pool has uniqueness. Besides its clear cool water and habitation of fish, it is also a habitat of Morea (a giant eel) which resides cave around pool. Although its size is as big as mans thigh and one or more meters in length, the Morea is a tame animal
Here in this pool, we can swim the pool and enjoy it freely without worrying the attack of this animal. You even do not see this animal while bathing because it only moves out from its hiding places when it is guided by an expert, called animal tamer.

Luckily, the animal tamer, an old man, was there when we arrived at the pool. We then ask this old man to call the Morea out of its cave and playing time is begun.
